The overall care is good both GP,s & nurse care, the mayor problem is making a GP appointment especially with a preferred Doctor this can take up to 3 weeks. Some queue outside the surgery before it opens to try and secure a GP appointment which is not idea if you are feeling poorly. If there are not any GP appointments available over the telephone ( and this can take up to 15 mins to get thro, from 8,30 am) a practice nurse appointment is offered but on a number of times I have taken one of these appointments they are usually running some 30 mins late and I have on at least two occasions had to see a GP anyway to resolve my condition so is this financially effective ?perhaps more GP,s are the answer. But overall when you manage to secure an appointment the care has been very thorough and complete. The ironic thing is I,ve been told by patients at the William Budd & Stockwood practices that they can always see a GP on the day requested !. The problem at Armada might be that all the GP,s seem to working part time hours ?.

I make appointments online, which is user friendly and efficient. I also order repeat prescriptions online, which is great. I'm very happy with the care I receive from my GP who always has time for me and the treatment room staff are very helpful.

Whenever I am unwell I am never confident of being able to see a doctor at the Armada Practice. When I have complained to the practice manager about having difficulties making appointment I was left with the feeling that she wasn't interested in my complaint. I am also not always convinced by the way my case notes are handled correctly by the Amada Practice. On one occasion, having had two attempts at taking a series of medical tests, the doctor I was supposed to see, advised me that the results had been lost and I should take the test a third time - when I said I was unhappy about this and would make an official complaint my test results were quickly found. I was never told how come my results were found so quickly after I mentioned making a complaint when they could not be found before. I have not seen or spoken to this doctor again, even though I am registered with him. Having said this, on the occasions when I have managed to convince the appointment makers that I do actually need to see a doctor, have navigated past the triage nurses, avoided seeing the doctor who lost my notes and mysteriously found them again, the two doctors who I have seen have both demonstrated good listening skills and have worked hard at diagnosing my illness.

i think most of the doctors are lovely ,trying to get an appointment when you are ill is awful the people who do not turn up for appointments or not bother to ring should be spoken to and told I think a fine of ten pounds if you do it more than 3 times then hopefully then people will think twice about not turning up for there appointment.
